Service is an important part of life at Covenant. Not only is it a way to serve other people and places, but it is also an important way to grow and mature in the faith. Covenant encourages attenders to use their gifts through volunteering alongside other Christians. Covenant has regular service opportunities listed in the order of worship, both within our church community and with our partner ministries, Breakthrough Urban Ministries and World Relief Chicago.
Below is a list of a few of our current volunteer needs. To sign up or learn more about additional opportunities, contact Pastor Dan Adamson.
Serve Breakfast at Breakthrough: Breakthrough’s mission is to partner with those affected by poverty to build connections, develop skills, and open doors of opportunity. All are welcome: families, individuals and small groups. If you are interested in finding out more, or would like to sign up to help, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Security Team: Covenant is creating a security team that aims to create a welcoming and safe church home. Volunteers will great attenders in the courtyard, lock doors once service begins and help keep our building safe.
Ushers: Ushers serve our community by greeting people as they enter the church, collecting the offering, and passing out the order of worship.
Meals Ministry: The Meals Ministry provides meals to individuals and families in times of need. Volunteers are needed to prepare meals. Sign up to volunteer by filling out this form.
