David Salsedo

David grew up in Northern California and moved to Chicago in 1999 for college and graduate school. He began attending Covenant in 2004. After receiving his Masters of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 2006, he joined Covenant’s staff as an Associate Pastor. David, his wife Rachel, and their two children live in the North Center neighborhood of Chicago. David enjoys the outdoors, movies, reading, and spending time with his wife and kids.

David is particularly passionate about creating safe spaces at Covenant for the interplay between the Gospel story, our stories of heartache, and spiritual formation. He oversees the Covenant staff and the Covenant Life Class. He invests much of his time in discipleship, leading adult classes, and in pastoral counseling. David has completed extensive training in the area of narrative trauma healing and is a Fellow and facilitator with The Allender Center.
