Small Groups

What are small groups at Covenant?

Small groups are communities of women and men that meet together to build relationships and grow in their faith. Believing that God intends for us to live our lives in a community context, small groups are basic communities where the Gospel of Christ can be experienced and explored together.

What is the purpose of small groups?

The purpose of small groups is to provide intentional communities that seek to develop meaningful friendships in order to live out the Christian life together. These groups are a place where people can experience God in a way not possible in isolation or large group settings. Small groups are also one of the main ways to receive care and get connected at Covenant.

How do I learn more about small groups and how to join one?

New small groups form throughout the year, with most beginning in the Fall. Pastor Dan Adamson can help connect you to a group or add you to a short waitlist. To join a group, learn more about small group options or to learn about Covenant’s philosophy of small groups, contact Pastor Dan Adamson.

What should my small group study?

Small groups choose a variety of different texts to study together. Some choose to study a book of a Bible, read a Christian book together, or discuss the sermon text for the following week. We have a regularly updated list of small group resources available if you would like some recommendations for your small group. Additionally, Pastor Dan writes discussion questions for the sermon text each week. To receive these questions, please contact Pastor Dan.
