Solace is a ministry that has grown out of our belief that God calls us to live out the grace of Christ by walking alongside those who are hurting. We offer one-on-one conversations and companionship, prayer support, and connections to practical help. We know that grief and loss may accompany any number of situations and transitions in our lives. Even good transitions may be tinged with sadness as we leave other parts of our lives behind. Our hope is that, through this ministry, those who are in any of these difficult, often lonely, seasons of life, will feel seen and truly cared for.
You may notice that the image we have chosen to represent Solace is a grove of aspens. Aspens are not solitary trees. They grown in community with an interconnected system of roots—sharing nutrients and resources to support one another. We feel called by God to live as this kind of community. We also hope to equip other lay members of Covenant to do the same, as part of this ministry or within other areas of the church and their lives.
If you are going through a difficult time or have a loved one or friend who is facing transition or loss, please reach out to us via email or contact anyone on the pastoral staff.
