Covenant Care and Counseling Ministry

Covenant Care and Counseling Ministry

Covenant takes seriously God’s desire for us to come alongside one another in order to bear one another’s burdens in love (Ephesians 4:1-2 and Galatians 6:2). One way to do that is through our lay counseling ministry which consists of trained, non-licensed counselors who will help those going through challenging circumstances of many kinds – transitions, losses, relationship difficulties, spiritual questioning, parenting, marital and pre-marital issues, and anxiety and depression. We will walk alongside you and provide you with emotional, spiritual and practical help as needed. We can offer outside resources if necessary.

The Holy Spirit is the initiator and helper in all real change and the counselor brings an awareness and dependency upon this truth into every counseling encounter. We also believe that the Bible contains relevant truth for every human situation and that wisdom is required to appropriate truth into our life situations. The ultimate goal through all our life experiences, challenges, and trials is growth in Christ.

Care and Counseling provided by CCCM is not a substitute for professional counseling, to which we will refer if that seems necessary. It is a ministry of Covenant Presbyterian Church of Chicago and no fees are charged for Covenant attenders.  There is a $50 fee for non-attenders with a sliding scale based on financial resources.

Contact us if you are interested in a confidential appointment at the church office, or to arrange a telephone conversation. Email is the fastest means of reaching us. Your inquiry is confidential.

Additionally, Covenant Care and Counseling has created a partner ministry, Solace, for those who are working through times of transition or loss. You can learn more about the Solace ministry here.
