The Middle Ages are a forgotten millennium spanning from the late 5th century until the 15th century. After the fall of the Roman empire, the world looked sharply different as power decentralized, populations declined and the optimism of the Greek and Roman world disappeared. How did the church change, and how can we learn from the church of that time?
