The Covenant Mission Committee seeks to facilitate the church’s mission in sustainable, practical ways. These include supporting missionaries with prayer and finances, praying for the churches and the nations in which CPC missionaries serve, viewing the church abroad as an equal partner, teaching about the remarkable things God has done through the ages around the world, presenting opportunities for short and long-term experiential learning trips, and facilitating the exchange of gifts and communications among missionaries, the international Church, and CPC.
Covenant supports many missionaries in the US and around the world. You can learn more about a few of the missionaries we support below. If you would like to learn more, please email the Mission Committee.
Covenant supports Derrick Snyder who works with Bridges International to reach out to international students at universities in the Chicago area through service activities, social networking, and spiritual resources. Chicago is home to 17,000 international students and many of these students have never heard the good news of Jesus Christ.
El Shaddai Ministries
For the past nine years, Covenant has joined with other churches in the Chicago Metro Presbytery to partner with El Shaddai Ministries International. ESMI’s goals include church planting and evangelism, ministering to orphans, improving education, providing medical and disaster relief services, and fostering economic development. Along with our presbytery, Covenant supports two annual mission trips to Haiti. Mission trip activities include medical services, water purification development, children’s ministry, construction, etc.
