AWANA is a weekly kids club that teaches children biblical truths, facilitates Bible memorization and provides time for group games for children ages 3-11. It is a ministry of AWANA Clubs International, a global organization that provides curriculum and training for churches to do effective children’s ministry. It’s goal is to introduce kids to Jesus Christ and build a biblical foundation for faith.
Covenant’s AWANA club meets from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in the Education Building on Wednesday nights throughout the school year. It will start up again on September 13. The kids club is divided into three age groups at Covenant: Cubbies (3-4 year olds), Sparks (K-2nd grade), and T&T (3-6th grade). The groups rotate between three activities: working through a handbook where they memorize Bible verses, playing games, and listening to a lesson. If you have any questions about Awana, would like to come check it out, or enroll your child, you can contact the Awana commander, Tyler Hallenbeck.
